Introduction to knots followed by the construction of a shelter using branches and rope! Barefoot in the river: travelling to the source of a river, understanding where water comes from and how we can use it in the mountains... the best part is paddling in the cold water! - Traces and signs of life: if you look hard enough, you would be amazed at the signs animals leave behind: eaten plants, gnawed or nibbled larch cones, hedgehog or deer droppings... your child will discover some of the secrets of animal life in the mountains. - The mysteries of the forest: an introductory walk simply to learn how to open up your senses to our mountain forests: see, listen, smell, taste, touch... and even better blindfolded! - The artist's palette: the mountain scenery hides a treasure of colours... or how to make up your palette of colours and shades by taking natural pigments from plants. - Reading scenery and drawings: it is fascinating to observe mountain scenery: you can see the terracing of the vegetation and also the mark of humans... - The world of ants: if you follow an "ant motorway", you generally end up at an anthill. For beginners or experienced hikers, those who want to enjoy their surroundings or lovers of steep slopes: - Every day, you will have the choice of half-day or full-day hikes. - 4 levels of difficulty depending on the steepness of the slopes, identified with 4 colours: green for the easiest walks, blue, red and black for the most difficult. - Themed hikes may be offered: bird-watching, heritage, "sketch as you walk", etc. - Group or individual hikes - Groups: approximately 15 people. - Please note: for optimum organisation, for the guides and any transfers to the starting points of the hikes, please book the day before at the Discover the Mountains office. - You are more than welcome to hike in pairs, with your family or friends without a guide.
