Cefalů by boat, Enjoy the " sea taxi ", in the late afternoon to stroll around the streets of Cefalů or visit its cathedral. Return by boat 3 hours later. The other side of Sicily: The Madonies , Plunge into the nature of the Madonies National Park, travel through its villages and meets its inhabitants. Lunch at Castelbuono, the main centre of the Park. Visit of village and return to Club Med. Palermo / Monreale, Departure from Club Med to Palermo, panoramic tour of the City (Cathedral, city centre, Piazza Marina) continuing onto the catacombs and visit. Walk in the " Il Capo" Kasbah market to reach the Massimo Theatre, free time for shopping and meal. Meet up with the guide to visit a treasure of Arabian-Norman art, the Palatine Chapel, housed in the Norman Palace, home to the Sicilian parliament, and travel to Monreale to visit William II's superb 12th Century cathedral, coated with 6340 m2 of mosaics on a gold background, make this day complete with the visit to the Cloister. Trip to Palermo, A morning to enjoy the beautiful shops of "the capital of Sicily". You will find clothes, shoes and gourmet specialities. Etna / Taormina, Visit Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe. Once you arrive at 1800m., walk (jeep ride to 2700m. available as optional extra). Lunch in a mountain hut. From high up on the volcano, witness a lunar setting with black lava and opaque smoke. Return to civilisation in the magnificent setting of Taormina, with its Greco-Roman theatre (4,50 ), busy streets and public garden. Free time for shopping and return to Village. Aeolian Islands, Departure by bus to the town of Milazzo, travel by boat to the island of Lipari and walk in the main street for shopping at your own pace, followed by free lunch. In the early afternoon, you'll meet up to board the boat to travel along the coast and stop for a swim and then leave for Vulcano, on your arrival on the island, you can enjoy a hot seawater bath or try the hot mud bath (extra cost 1.50 ) or the black sandy beaches. You'll then meet at 4.20 pm to leave by boat for Milazzo, and return by bus to Cefalů to arrive at the Club at around 8 pm. A delight for the eyes which will make you forget such an early start... |
